He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who has serviced the Detroit metropolitan community for over 25 years. Educated at Georgetown University, he completed his surgical training at the Kresge Eye Institute where he functioned as Chief Resident in his final year. He is an active member of the hospital staff at St John Ascension Health wherein he functioned as an ophthalmology department chairman for over 15 years. He is also active at Beaumont Hospital and DMC. He holds academic positions at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine wherein he assists in the education of medical students and residents. Dr. Clune has been named Top Doc by Hour magazine on over 20 occasions. He has published in the management of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma surgery, and Lasik complications.
